There is something special about this time of year, the colours are out in full force. The oranges, greens and reds against the blue of the sky who needs a TV or the internet when you can see all this just outside your door. I can't paint draw or sketch but putting a camera in my hand this time of year is not quite like anything else and gives me the freedom of expression. The only way I can explain it is that feeling that a conductor must get when he is at the start of a concerto or a footballer (not Beckham or Ronaldo) but the lad on a sunday morning trying to do his best and the feeling he gets from scoring. Some people ask me what I get from photography this time of year says it all!
